A CIPS Supply Management Award is the most prestigious recognition a company or individual in the procurement and supply chain profession can receive. The Awards ceremony is held in September and is the opportunity for you or one of your team to step on stage at the ceremony to accept a prize.
This year's chair of judges was Gerry Walsh, former Procurement Director at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and winner of last year’s ‘CIPS procurement and supply chain professional of the year’ award. He was joined by Julie Digby, UK Commercial Head at Mars, ITV Group Procurement Director Andrew Newnham and a selected panel of other senior professionals from the world of procurement and supply.
AirPlus was the headline sponsor of the event. Hays Procurement was also a sponsor and QinetiQ Commerce Decisions was the official technology provider for the judging. The awards was also associated with de Poel and Zycus, the entertainment sponsor. The shortlist was revealed in the summer and the winners were announced at the black-tie gala ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 11 September.
Watched by an audience of buyers Skanska (on behalf of the Supply Chain Sustainability School) reigned supreme at the CIPS Supply Management Awards 2013, taking home the top award!
